hey semi, summit makes a great stand, that was all i used to use, now i'm using ole man, first for comfort, i spend alot of full days in my climber, because of the weight, quietness, ease of set up, and last you mentioned if the climbers work, yea they work and they work great, if you set-up and the deer pulls a fast on you can easily adjust stand location for evening or the next morning hunt. i use mine more during bow season for gettin close, when hunting with a rifle its not that big of a deal...

good luck and practice with the climber

Summit the viper is awesoome ,doesn't have a fold down rest but the seat adjusts so you get up high enough over it .....i use mine for both gun and bow and have never had a problem shooting my bow from it. Summit can't go wrong and their new cobra X4 has a flip up rest that might suit your taste.

thanks for the replies. I bought the Summit Viper X4. I set it up and i am pretty impressed with how easy it went together and how well it works. I also looked at the Ameristep but you it seemed as if you needed and engineering degree to put it together.
