Default alloutdoors is famous!

Has anybody noticed page 6 of the October issue of Deer & Deer Hunting? The short article, "150 Pound Does Do Exist" is written by our very own "alloutdoors". I recognized his face in the pic from another pic he posted here on the board.
Way to go Ryan. Either you've got connections or they just like your stuff! Nice doe, by the way.

How odd....I just got done reading my copy. I noticed his letter in particular due to his geopgraphical location to me, and his subject....I live and hunt in zone 8 of NY, which contain some Finger Lakes. Congrats.

I don't claim to see alot of does in the 150 range. However, on opening day last year, I was lucky enough to take two does. One of which had to be turned in to the DEC due to some sort of rotting that occurred from the inside out. The biologist at the Avon office noted that it was most likely hit by a car several months prior, and had healed up poorly resulting in some infection. The second doe, though did tip the scale at 148lbs. Logical inferencing would be correct in this situation, I was hunting in a very productive agricultural section, providing neccessary requirements for such a thing to occur.
