Default One of the bigger operations...

Just got back from a Texas Trophy Hunter's show. Not quite the hunting I'm used to. Don't see a need to tie up $35,000 in a blind, walkin cooler, ATV, truck, etc. Anyway, we stopped and talked with a hunting operation out of Wisconsin. They had some nice mounts on display. We asked how large an area was hunted, and one guy proudly said, "well, we have 250 acres under high fence." Didn't know whether to laugh at him, or sock hm in the face!

LOL, I guess you went to the one in Houston? I'll be going to the one in San Antonio. This is the type of high fenced area that gives the rest of them a bad name. There is a big difference between this one and the high fenced ranches down here. It seems like most of the small high fenced areas are in the north and north/east. "250 acres" the high fenced ranch that I hunt on, has a man made stock tank that is bigger then that.

They do get alot of guides from around the world that come to the TTHA show. There are alot of neat things to look at, its a good way to spend a day.

No, the one in SA. Didn't have the heart to tell him I can see 400 acres from my blind alone!
