I am not a very patient person, so I am in my treestand approx. 30-45 minutes before day break, and stay until 9-9:30 am. I then head back to the woods around 3-3:30pm and stay until dusk. I wish I had more patience, but I know my limitations. The three nice bucks on my wall tell me I am doing something right!!!!

I honestly don't think I've ever pulled a dark to dark hunting outing. Most of my hunts are a few hours here and there. About the only time I am out all day is when I'm involved with a group and we do drives all day.

If I have the entire day to hunt, I will hunt all day until I get something. In at my stand within 45 minutes of legal hunting hours and back to the truck just as the last light leaves the sky. I don't like walking back to the truck in total darkness. There have been occasions where I was up and secured in my stand 1.5 hours before first light, but that was because I was overly excited to be in a prime hunting location that week!

In the morning, I stay out until breakfast is ready. . . . In the evening, I stay out until its dark. So about 6:00am-8:30am and 3:30-6:00pm. Deer down here don't move alot in the heat and it can be pretty warm in early November
