I'll second that, gutpyle!!!!!!!!!!!! I scout year around and it seems to be the best method for me to help me figure out the big boy patterns. They get big for a reason and that reason is that they frequently vary their patterns. Secondary trails tend to be their preferred routes. Look for them and how they lead to and fro from food and water. Sex time is the best to catch them with their guard down. Get the does coming your direction and before you know it some big fella will arrive looking for love. Forget the secondary trails while the rut is in progress. Their patterns change and they will follow the thoroughways more often than not, chasing the lassies. Good luck in your pursuit of "Bullwinkle".

Plant Food Plots !!!
Where the food plots are, the doe will be also........ where the doe are......sooner or later the big boys will be there!
If you're starting from scratch, plan out where to put your food plots with typography, bedding areas, travel routs, etc in mind. Also keep in mind where you will probably be setting up your stands. To hunt the big boys, set up on travel lanes that lead to the food plots as they will probably hang back in the timber until dark.
Good luck!

TO kill a trophy, trophy deer have to be there, you cant kill a deer that isnt there. If they are there and u know there in the area, then find the bed room and stay out till the rut. Good luck
