non-typical deer cam nc-100
I have had nothing but trouble with this camera . The battery constantly dies and the camera doesn't even rewind bye its self when the film is empty. Has anyone else had any of these problems . Or can you maybe recommend a different camera that works better. I am looking at buying 2 more cameras.
Thanks In advance

I take for granted that you mean the DC-100. My buddy and I have been using one since November and we have had no problems with it. It has made it through very cold weather and has around 10 rolls of film thru it so far. The battery in the camera itself just went dead last week. We have put 3 sets of the 9 volts in, but we like to make sure they are fresh so it works while we have it out. What kind of batteries are you using in the unit? Duracell, engergizer?? We have never had a problem with the camera not rewinding either.
So I really don't know what to tell you. We are going to add 1 or 2 new cameras to our arsenal this summer and we will get the DC-100. We are happy with the results of this camera.
Always adding Deer Cam picts. Check often.

I also have the DC-100 and had a little trouble with the lense when I first got it, but since then it's been perfect. They have a VERY good customer service dept. Call them and let them know what the porblem is, I'm sure they will help you out. Keep your batteries fresh especially in the cold and buy good batteries, the cheap ones don't last at all. Good Luck.

I also have the Deer-Cam dc-100. I haven't had any problems yet either. I recieved mine for Christmas. I use the top of the line Duracell batteries. The book says the nine volt batteries average 3 months and the 3 volts lasts for about 5 rolls of film. The costs do add up but the rewards are great! I have also heard good things about the Camtakker but I know they cost $140.00 more.

I have three DeerCams and have had no trouble with them. Call Non-Typical at 800-527-0305. Explain the problem and see if they can help. They have always been very quick and fair in the past. Maybe you just got a bad unit- see if they will exchange it before you give up on them.
