I hunt whenever I can get into the woods!
Ya can't kill 'em if ya ain't out there!
I do like the new moon best though!
The proverbial nail on the head, in my book.

With the exception of the rut. I prefer the week before and week after a new moon. I see alot more movement during this time period. My trail cam shows the same thing.

I think you meant the week before and after the full moon, right? Because these are the weeks I like. Hey! What do you know? They're the same weeks. Everybody's happy.

Ditto on the I hunt whenever I can. Don't matter if its a new moon, half moon, quarter moon or eclipse moon I am in the woods whenever possible.

The best time to hunt is any time you have time. For some reason, though I like it when the moon comes up before the sun goes down. I put out a camera this fall and put out corn and kept track of when the deer came to the corn for about a month and the only pattern was the time of day or night, nothing to do with the moon. I charted out the times when the moon was overhead and under foot and could see no pattern whatsoever.
