OK, heres how I do it, I know its the long way around, but it worked.
I opened an account at Imagestation.com and since I still cant
figure out how to post a pic directly from there............
I upload my pics to my account at Imagestation, then I right click them
and save them back onto my computer. Then when you post just hit
"click here to upload" and it should work if your pic isnt over 30k.
The reason I cant just upload from my computer directly to the post is
because the pic is always over 30k.
Somehow after I put it on Imagestation and save it back to my computer it
makes it smaller.
Hope that rambling wasnt too confusing,
good luck.

The only issue is that 30K limit. Most of you have some sort of editing software that came with your camera or you have purchased by now some photoshop type software so you can dazzle everyone with your fine digital photo capabilites. Anyway. . . .open your picture with such a tool and find the resize option. You will see it give you a 1024X2056 or soime such number for these higher res., Pixel count cameras. Down size it to something like 300x200 and save with a new name, don't want to blow away you big one. Then look at the new photo file size. Once your below 30K your good to post.

The easiest way to post a picture is to first join a photo hosting site and post it there. One good one is imagestation.com. You can join it for free. Once you have your picture posted there, all you need is the URL address of the picture. To find the URL of an image, right-click on it. Then click on "properties". A box will pop up, and about halfway down it will show the URL address. You can just highlight it, right-click on it, and click "copy". Make sure you click on the enlarged version of the picture, not the little thumbnail version. Then, when you post, check "embed picture in post", at the bottom of the screen you're posting in, and paste the URL in between . The image you chose should show then when you hit "preview" . If it does, hit "OK" .
If you want to post more than one picture in your post, just copy down the URLs of each picture and type each one in between , separately, and they should all show up.
example:
That would cause all three pictures to show up in your post.
One advantage to doing it this way, is that you don't have to worry about the 30kb size limit. You can post pictures that are much larger.

That sounds easy enough. I'll try tonight.
