I just walk to it...
Walk down the edge of the woods, into the path by the pond, where it exits the pond, it splits 4 ways, I walk up the 2nd path from the right, keep right and ignore the left split, keep walking until I either see my path, or see the fallen log about 2 feet after my path. Follow the path for about 10 yards, bend over to get under the fallen tree, go another 15 or so yards, and climb up.
I only use a flashlight when walking out, but usually keep it in my pocket turned on, it makes my jacket glow.

Talent son , pure talent ...
Seriously , I know the areas where I hunt quite well , so finding my spot isn't difficult . At most I'll carry a small flashlight with a red lens .

Hi Kevin,
I have never used the red lens, how do they help you in the dark? Do the lens work on tacks as you climb to your stand in the dark? Thanks for your insight, take care.

I am pretty familiar with the land I hunt, I find my stand by way of a piece of Blaze orange ribbon tied to trees about 20 yards from my stand. They are also great for yardage markers. A small flashlight helps me find the tape from good distances

Having over 20 stands set up I can get a little confused at times
But most are pretty easy to find because I have to cut paths to get to them. hard to get turned around when the only way you can walk is forward
. I use bright eyes at turns and confusing areas.
Flaging tape sticks out to much around here

I have a flashlight with me, but RARELY use it. I know the areas I hunt and go on instinct. I also walk VERY, VERY slowly, stopping often so as to not sound like a human.
