better than deercamera

ok, so i wanted a deer camera untill i saw the price. i am only 15 and need a new bow more than a camera. so ill build my own right? no. to afraid ill solder my hand to the camera. so here is the ultimate solution (for me atleast). i found a surveilance camera specifically made for use in low light conditions for $80. take that and hook it up to my old vcr with the included wire, and put the camera in an ammo box with a window and bingo, u got a video deer cam. i am planning to buy an extra one to put at the back of my property and run the wire to the included black white tv. i cant wait untill i get this set up. ill let u know how it works.

are you recording the footage? or just using it like a surveilence camera? if you are recording how long does the tape last? if you are not recording it it will be hard to stay up all the time to see what is passing through.
I have a Deer-Cam and love it. Wish I had a couple more.

for the back of my property, it will be easy, i can watch the tv whenever i walk by, this is just more for fun. i am using a 6-hour video and am gonna program the vcr for different part of the days. i am buying a rechargeable battery source that is meant for laptops or other products during an emergency. they last like 24 hours, so two of these should be good.
