Deer season ended 2 days early for me. I went out yesterday and once I got up in my tree I found out that my scope was broken. I came back home and did some chores. I started catching up on my honeydo list early today. All day I while I was topping some trees (wife says they block the sun in the summer.) I could hear people shooting. Was talking to the wife at one point about the work I had done, and a deer came running thru the woods behind our house. Next season.....Next season. There's still some squirrel hunting I can squeeze in this month and I plan to do some scouting. But it sure hurt to miss out on these last two days. My wife was surprised...she said she figured I would have gone out there with a knife. At least she is beginning to get the point.
1 doe during bow season.
1 button with a rifle.
Still my best season. Hope everyone else did well.

I zero in and work up loads for three or four rifles before season starts for just that reason. I quess I have been lucky though as I have never had a rifle or scope malfunction during season.

Well this was the only hunting rifle I own right now. That'll change but it doesn't do me any good now. The eyepiece lense moved about 1/4 inch when I went to wipe away some moisture. I am left wondering how long it's been broken and if my rifle will shoot better than it did when I sighted it in this year. I had bought another scope this month but the maintube isn't long enough to fit this rifle. 10 months......I have 10 months to get my rig properly set up.
