I have an old 870 Wingmaster with an Improved Cylinder choke and a front bead sight. I get 4-5" groups at 75 yards from the bench firing 2¾" 1 oz. rifled slugs. I'm going to try to 100 yards next chance I get.

Thanks yall on the congrats

bambikiller, I hit her just in front of her right shoulder and it exited just behind her left shoulder. Shocked her spine causing her to drop and took out both lungs.
StealthyOne, Congrats on the doe.
As for the 870. I got a slug barrel on it and I can shoot out to about 75yds accurately with the open sights. If I had a scope on it I would be comfortable out to and around 100yds.
