get em in the pockets join the campainge to eliminate their tax exempt status

we need to "market" ourselves as FREE wildlife management tools to the non hunters and show that it is a family oriented activity and we should stay as P.C about it as possible

we cant go out there balls to the walls and all radical about it the average american doesnt resond well to that we need to be thoughtful and well respresented

I'm in too. Without hunting, this nation would have never had a chance at making it. It infuriates me that people can be so dense as to try to take the building blocks of this beautiful country out of our culture. It also makes me mad that people are trying to take god out of the american culture.[:@]

Im in!!

Here is somthing i'd like to share speaking of ALL the people out there with closed minds---> The evening after i shot my deer, my brother in-law was taking me report it, he had to put gas into his truck and while at the gas station there were several people that were happy to see that (i) someone had been lucky to 'tag one', while i was standing there with a passer by admiring(sp?) my deer this women walked by with her daughter and had -very audible said "awe thats mean, gross and disgusting," ------->there was nothing visible, such as open cuts or holes--it was just rather disturbing to hear it--

--just let me know what i can do to help-- We need to stick together in order to keep our heritage alive --

Thanks for listening-

Well the main thing we need to do is avoid stooping to their level and making our sleves out to be the agressor or foolish. When it comes to PETA looking foolish they do a great job on thier own, they do not need our help.

What we as hunters need to do is educate the "Non-hunting" public out there as far as what hunters have done for wildlife and why hunting is needed to keep animal populations in check. We as hunters need to present ourselves as what we are, protectors of wildlife and it's habitat. We need to be aware of the image we present to the non-hunting public by not drinking while in our hunting gear, not throwing a deer across the hood of a car and parading it around town.

The main thing we need to do besides voting is to educate not only politicians, but the non-hunting public. How can we do this? One way which I have done several times is to write rebuttals to any anti-hunting article or editorial in newspapers. In fredericksburg I actually succeeded in eliminating 2 antis from writing editorials by in a mature manner using simply facts taking thier anti statements apart bit by bit with verifiable facts. Not once did I say they were idiots or radicals, I simply stated verifiable facts that they could not counter, they tried a couple of times and finally gave up. The first thing I do every time I pick up our local paper and check out the editorial page to make sure these folks do not try saying any more of there BS without out me disproving it. We also need to make every effort to educate our youth every chance we get.

If there are any antis in your school, they'll probably put up posters about the annual "Meat-Out". Put up some anti-anti posters to counter them--you can find things like that on web.

Also, writing your elected officials isn't a bad idea. I got in politics pretty heavily when I was around your age, and I used to fire letter after letter to politicians. You might not be able to vote quite yet, but you will in a few years, and politicians want all the votes they can get.
