second rut

i just started deer hunting this year, i missed the first rut. when is the 2nd rut i keep hearing about.....i live in northen ohio......near cleveland..if that helps

The Second Rut is usually about a month after the first rut and lasts about 1-2 weeks. But I am from Illinois, but it shouldn't be much different where you are.

Saw a buck nosing a doe trail Monday here in Pike county,IL.

Saw a doe fawn acting like she was in heat on Sat. Had a yearling on her tail.

It started end of november in NJ. Killed a buck day after thanksgiving trust me he was rutting. Now all the juniors are coming into heat. Alot of subordinats chasing them around as we speak. Most of the mature bucks are in what they call the rest phase but their is still that chance he'll come out 1/2 hour before dark.
