Default in-line question

I have a question about inline muzzel loaders. Is it safe to unscrew the plug and unload one or should it be shot like a regular one?

Make sure you take the cap off before unscrewing. Other than that, I don't see a problem with it.

It is safe to unscrew the breech plug and push the entire load through... That shouldn't be a problem at all if you can't fire your gun to unload it.

Thanks for the replies. Since I cant walk at the moment, i cant get to a safe place, the range or woods to fire my gun, so I will unplug it....ummm yes I will take the cap off first haha. I have had this little gun 2 years now, took a nnice fat doe last year, it is a Rossi in line, not real expensive but Rossi seems to have made a good little gun.
