Hmmmm, it sounds like a good deal to me if the farmer is practicing what he preaches. If he does, then the bucks in that area should be above average and your son will have a great chance at shooting a REALLY nice buck. If he only says this because he wants the bucks for himself, it still wouldn't matter that much. There is probablly a big ten point running around that he could get.

We have a picture of a real nice 11 point from last year, the same deer (he has a distinctive ear) this year is a big 8 point. No doubt about age not determining point total.

Sounds good to me. Private hunting ground is tough to find these days especially for free. If that's what the landowner wants then ya have to do what he says. Who knows, he might lower his "standards" in a few years. Just be thankful he's letting your son hunt.
