I'D BE HAPPY FOR YOUR SON, AND IT DOESN'T COST YOU ANYTHING TO HUNT THERE

You should explain to the farmer that the amount of points has nothing to do with age. I'm sure he wants mature bucks only harvested. But alot of people, hunters included don't know a thing about aging deer.

pabuckhunter3 you may like others have said try to explain to the farmer that bucks do not grow new points every year, there is a MONSTER 6 point on one property I hunt that is at least 5 1/2 years old, and unless he gets hit by a car he will at least see this October.

I think it's a great idea the landowner has...but instead of 10 points maybe say the antlers have to be wider than the ears or if you're good at estimating scores...140 or better...or whatever. But yeah, i'd let him hunt. It's good the landowner cares about the Quality of is herd.

You wouldn't catch me turning down a place to hunt....

Suppose you only have a permit for a doe - it wouldn't make any difference anyhow... We had a doe over for &quot;dinner&quot; the other night - she was delicious! <img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>

I would never turn down a place to hunt. It is hard enough to find one, and then to let one get away - unimaginable. It is his land and he sets the rules. That's the way the game goes. You can certainly try to get the rules changed, but I would not push too hard for fear of losing all hunting priveleges.
