Default Deer season 2025

I try and always bring my bow with me while squirrel hunting during late Oct early Nov, it paid off Halloween morning. Shot my first deer in 4 years around sunrise yesterday. Young 8 point. Public land.

Congratulations. Public land is tough hunting. That'll be some good eating.

Way to go John.

My daughter got a nice big doe in the PA youth season.

I shot a young 6 pointer with a non typical rack with my crossbow. It’s the first deer that I have ever shot with a crossbow and the first deer on my own land. It was around 150 pounds dressed so it wasn’t a bad sized deer for sure.. Now I’m taking my wife out looking for a buck for her. She has never shot a deer before. All the while I have been whining because I used up my only tag. But that young buck is good eating anyway..
