Thank you and I am trying hard to put her onto one. Last week we were seeing does everyday. But with no doe tags I have to try and get her on a buck. I keep telling her it’s a matter of time and a buck will be with a doe..

I went out to Amelia WMA (45 min west from Richmond, VA) after lunchtime.
I brought my Remington 870 12ga with some #1 Buck, as I don't think you can shoot rifles.
I ran into 5 other hunters all decked out in blaze orange, as I was. Chit-chat... quietly... NOBODY SAW NOTHING!
Then again, that's public land WMA's here in Virginia. As soon as the guns come out, all the deer vanish.

A quick "Selfie" on a 10-sec timer on the bumper of my GMC Canyon (backed into the parking spot):

A view of one of the main trails, heading towards the perimeter around Amelia Lake.

Sadly because I had to move my stand because the location it was in grown up so thick because of all the white ash dying I couldn't see a thing. I am not in a spot where that can't happen and I have had a health problem which is now under control and my atv crapped out and has been in the shop for well over a week. I pick it up tomorrow so I still have a few days to put on on the ground . I not there is next year, The deer don't owe me a thing, as I look back I honestly cannot remember a year that I did not kill a deer since the 70's. I really don't need more meat, I still have venison from last season and a 250 lb hog I shot in April in the freezer. At this point in my life it isn't the getting, it is the doing that makes me happy. I am already planning another hog hunt for spring.

Good luck with getting your atv back as well as getting a deer Oldtimr.. Also good luck with those spring hogs. We don’t have any wild hogs up here yet and I hope that we don’t.
