Default RE: Salt Lick Strategy

I try to keep one salt block on the land I hunt but I don' t hunt the salt block. I do hunt the approaches to the salt block but several hundred yards away. If you hunt over the block, you' ll eventually scare the deer away or they will start using it at night only. Also, salt blocks are best for hot weather.
I locate the salt block near some food plots, so the deer can come in have a meal, get their salt, and be on their way. Hopefully, I catch them on their way out or in.

About salt blocks...put them out for the benefit of the deer, but dont try to incorporate them into your hunting strategy. Thats an amateur' s trick.
