I' m just wondering what everyone thought on this subject. I have been noticing the in almost each and every post about what to shoot and not to shoot etc, etc... Guys ALWAYS have to throw in the disclaimer about...." This is a free country, no one can tell me what to shoot" , " Everyone can shoot what they want" , " A guy has a right to his own opinion...it' s America" , " Don' t bash the way I hunt, it' s America" and so on and so on. People are starting to post it on original posts and kind of a disclaimer, so maybe people know right away how they feel. I don' t know. Have we become a society that just takes offense or gets defensive at every little remark??? What do you think?
I think that our society has turned a little soft and crys and whines about too much.

I think the gist of what most people mean when they say " I' m entitled to my opinion..." , or " it' s a free country" , etc. is not to look down your nose at other people because they have a differing opinion than you or the next guy.
I don' t think this country is made up of a bunch of whiners, I think it' s made up of people who voice a different opinion and CAN without repercussions. That' s what makes this country great, and by saying " it' s a free country" means I can share my opinion whether it' s right or wrong.
I think this is a great country. I think having a different opinion is great. If everyone had to share the same opinion, life would be dull. Maybe more stable, but a dull life none-the-less. It peaks peoples thinking abilites to hear different views on things, and allows us all to progress more and more as a society.
Most of my opinions are probably wrong anyhow
, but by sharing my opinion, I can see peoples feedback and learn from it.
Probably most people put it as a disclaimer in their post so they don' t get bashed on just because they DO have a different opinion. Kind of " I' m tired of this mentality in these posts and here' s my disclaimer up front" .
To each his own and my two cents,

I think ruffling the feathers of co membership is good and it brings out a lot of honest opinions. We do live in a country where you are entitled to your opinion and you have the freedom of speech but sometimes I feel some people use it as an excuse for the insecure reasonings I' ll throw in freedom of speech or I' m entitled to my opinion to deter any argument, if you don' t want backlash on your post don' t pick a controversial subject were people will give you an honest opinion....

To be honest I could give a rip what anyone thinks of me. If they dont like the way I wear my hair, dress , the car I drive ,my wife or the way I hunt tuff I just dont care. you take me the way I am or get lost. Thats how I feel about life. As long as I' m honest and kind and willing to do my share thats all that matters. So I have hair down to my waist,a beard like santa, dont wear socks or underwear ever. Dont own a pair of dress pants or white shirt or tie. I pull my own teeth and love driving a junker most the time. And my new car is the ugliest car made.Honda Element. Have it since july and have only 629 miles on it. I like my junker I can dress up with deer parrts and human body parts. Thats me and i dont care what anyone thinks. My goal is to have the lowest mileage element in 5 years in America.I' m shooting for 5000 miles in 5 years.Think thats stupid ,I dont care. Oh and I like to uruinate outside rather then the toilet and love to walk around naked.

Well,, I wouldn' t get to worried about it, Some people are just a little too sensitive to critisim. These are also the people who usually think they know everything about everything a.k.a. EXPERT. Let me give you a definition of what most self proclaimed experts are(X-is an unknown quantity,,,,, SPERT- is just a drip under pressure)
I usually listen to a whole person' s story before I judge for myself, Most people know something I don' t or have experienced something I haven' t. I like to listen and maybe pick up something.

Opinions are like a$$$$$, every one has one. Look many people feel that they can shoot what they want and when the wan' t to and to a degree, they are right. But as they say, there is a season for everything. I usually see bucks up to FDD, First Day Deer, but normally see only does and some spikes afterwards. The bigger bucks go deeper and get smarter after the rut which is before FDD. I usually do not do bow so FDD is my first chance at a buck. Anyway, I will shoot the does and if I see a six pointer or above I will drool and shoot him too. Since in PA spikes are now illegal to shoot, I do try to not shot them. It just makes it harder to identify them.
