Handicapped hunt
I am a caregiver to my husband who use to be an extreme dog/deer hunter. I would love to find him a place that could take him on a hunt for mobility impaired people . We live in NE Florida so I would not want to drive more than 2 hours away. He is 69 and I don't know how many more years he could do this ! I would love to do this as a Christmas present!! Can you help me out?

I wish you the best of luck in finding a place/way to make this happen.
best I can do would be to suggest maybe contacting the fish and game dept in your area and asking if they have any advice or suggestions. as them being more local, they might have more options for you to try, same would be to go to some of the local Archery shops and or gun stores and asking there, maybe even asking if you can put up a sigh asking for help on a bulletin like board or even , if maybe they can ask around for you, or help you find a place
OR any local gun clubs .hunt clubs
places like this I think will be your best chance!
good luck and hope he gets another chance to enjoy hunting again!

I would attempt to google and call hunt clubs... I want to go south to hunt with dogs and I've spoken to several hunt clubs that allow visitors certain days throughout the year. I think if you make a few calls that you could probably find a club that would be willing to set him up.

I don't live in Florida and don't have any firsthand experience in Florida. I did a google search for "handicap deer hunts" (see first link) and came up with the bottom 5 hunt links. I don't know any of these hunts and therefore can't vouch for them but there are apparently hunting outfitters that purport to cater to handicapped hunters. As always, you'd want to check references, Fish and Game and even your BBB to see if these outfitters are worthwhile. Good luck and God Bless you for wanting to do something special for your hubby.
