My first deer was a button buck taken with my great-grandfather's old Marlin 336 30-30 Winchester at 30 yards. That was during the youth hunt on October 27th, 2007; my first ever deer hunt.

Lone Wolf, I killed my first deer the same day in the same youth hunt!

Mine was a 3pt spike (one of the antlers broken off) harvested at 25 yards with my Remington Model 673 .308 Win. The high shoulder shot dropped him, immediately.
Man, I saved up allowance money for over a year, and even then my dad had to give me a "loan" that it took several more months to pay off. Such a special time.

I shot a button buck with my youth model .243 for my first deer. I was 9 and after that day, I was hooked.

I used an old Stevens 20 gauge single shot. I was using a giant deadfall as my hiding spot and shot the world's largest doe - or atleast I thought it was. LOL

Archery .... Shakespeare Wonder Bow re-curve, cedar shafts, 160 gr. broadheads. It was a spike at about 20 yards out of a brush blind I had built in a Louisiana swamp near our house. I was just shy of 15.
