Default Exploding trail camers discovered

Some crazy Muslim terrorist has been rigging trail cams to explode in Kentucky!

Officials Just Issued HORRIFYING Warning About SICK Thing Muslim Placed In The Woods

In Kentucky a Muslim man sneaking around in the woods started to receive some serious attention from law enforcement and the local community. Unfortunately, this sneaking around and suspicious behaviors was only the beginning of the trouble that he would cause. Now that ATF found what he hid in the woods they've sounded the alarms and issued a massive warning.

It was a few weeks ago that Mark Sawaf was discovered doing something extremely dark and twisted in the woods. It has become known that the reason the Muslim man had been out in the woods wasn't just to go for a stroll.

The man had been setting up explosives and cameras, hoping to get any trail-goers with the booby traps.

He did in fact succeed in injuring one victim severely with his homemade explosive traps. Luckily, the FBI made sure to stop this right away and arrested the man immediately.

After raiding the house the FBI discovered a multitude of explosives and parts of trail cameras that had been used to create his explosive traps.

Officials then forced Sawaf to walk through the woods and lead them to the rest of the bombs that he had placed. Saway complied for a short time but then reportedly attempted to run. In the process Saway was shot and killed before he could get away and inflict any more damage.

Unfortunately the Muslim terrorist didn't show officials where all of the explosives were hidden before he was shot. This has now forced The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Kentucky State Police Post 10 to issue a warning that there are many IEDs that have been found in Harlan County.

This means that anyone in the woods could potentially stumble upon one of the IEDs that officials were not able to find.

They explained that some explosives could be triggered if someone decides to put in new batteries into a trail camera. Other's were rigged with a trip wire for any unsuspecting victims.

The reason why the entire country doesn't know about this yet is because, like always, the liberal media has been trying to cover it up and keep it quiet for fear that people might discover the truth about this barbaric Muslim.

The left seems to be willing to lie to the end of the earth to protect Muslims and groups like the Black Lives Matter group. Is it because they have some sick twisted secret agenda or are they just too scared to report the truth about these violent and dangerous people?

Make sure to share and let us know what you think the left keeps censoring the truth.

Public Safety Advisory
HARLAN, Ky — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Kentucky State Police Post 10 issue this public safety advisory.

In Harlan County, Kentucky, there have been three confirmed incidents of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) being hidden inside trail cameras, which exploded and injured people. An operation was conducted and nine IEDs were located and dismantled. Other devices, however, may still exist.

Some of the trail cameras were found abandoned on paths in rural areas routinely accessed via the Dave Smith Drainage Area (Woodland Hills Subdivision, Harlan, KY), on the Little Black Mountain Spur in Harlan County. These IEDs were designed to explode when a person inserted batteries into the trail camera. Other IEDs were designed to be detonated by a trip wire leading to the trail cameras. In some instances, containers such as milk jugs, protein powder containers, or paint cans were placed nearby the explosive device. In addition, there is information that a tree stand had been placed in the woods with an explosive device attached.

Authorities caution people to not handle any trail cameras, tree stands, or any other items that they did not place themselves. If you locate a trail camera, tree stand, or other item for which an IED could have been connected that does not belong to you, do not touch it and immediately notify law enforcement, providing them with the GPS coordinates if possible. You can contact Kentucky State Police Post 10 (606-573-3131) or the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) (859-219-4500).

Wow! I just looked into these guy, Mark Sawaf and was surprised. He was a clinical counselor and when I looked at his website and examined the pictures of his office he has wildlife and outdoor pics about as well as a deer mount in the waiting room and an elk statue in his office.

Was he an outdoorsman like a hunter? Or like a bambi lover? I'm wondering.

Reading this story my take is that his Dad is maybe wanting to make this out to be a "take him out in the woods and execute him kind of thing".

HARLAN CO., Ky. (WYMT) - Kentucky State Police issued a warning Friday, involving public safety concerns in Southeastern Kentucky.

They say explosives could be hidden throughout Harlan County.

Investigators tell us they were working Thursday, with Mark Sawaf to find explosives he allegedly hid there; however, when he got into an altercation with them, a Lexington firefighter shot and killed Sawaf.

Sawaf was arrested in June on federal charges.

Police say they found several trail cameras in the woods of Harlan County earlier this summer, rigged with explosives.

Later, Mark Sawaf was charged in connection with the devices.

"Apparently he rigged a camera and some fella found it and took it home or whatever. Then when he opened it up, it exploded,” said Jerry Haynes, who lives close to where the shooting occurred.

That story matches up closely with one outlined by an ATF official in sworn testimony, during a detention hearing in June, following Sawaf's arrest.

Haynes continued, "I think he lost a finger or maybe two fingers.”

Police say, however, that was far from the only camera Sawaf placed in the woods.

"If you see something in the woods that just doesn't look right, or you see a trail camera, I'd be very cautious and contact state police so we can make sure that trail camera does not have an explosive camera inside of it,” said Trooper Shane Jacobs, with Kentucky State Police.

Sawaf was actually a licensed clinical counselor for years, and even a former business owner.

Prosecutors say he admitted to purchasing and making bombs.

"It's a very big safety concern to us and to the public,” said Jacobs.

He allegedly placed some of the bombs in the woods, near several houses in the Woodland Hills subdivision.

"It's a form of terrorism. Somebody that would do that is pretty evil. To have it right here in the backyard is pretty scary,” said Haynes.

What remains uncertain is Sawaf's intentions for allegedly putting so many people in harm’s way.

Police say several explosives were found during their investigation Thursday and destroyed.

Sawaf owned and operated mental health and substance abuse counseling services in Harlan and Lexington.

On his Facebook page, he often posted politically-charged posts targeting Donald Trump and supporting President Obama and liberal ideas.

He seemed to be a big supporter of the drug, suboxone.

From what we can tell in his pictures, he was a hunter who posted trail cam pictures, but called for more gun control in some posts.

His Facebook page has since been taken down.

The Lexington firefighter that shot Sawaf is Captain Brad Dobrzynski.

The Lexington Mayor's Office says he has been placed on administrative duty.

Since 1996, Lexington fire investigators have been allowed to carry weapons.

This is the first time a Lexington firefighter has been involved in a deadly shooting.

I find it so insulting when people try to minimize things and avoid responsibility. Like the lady in the story link I posted just before this.

Yeah lady - a "little firework" - a guy lost multiple fingers!

Police warn hunters to avoid booby traps, 12 explosive trail cameras recovered after man loses fingers

Mark Sawaf, 39, was arrested in June of this year after authorities linked him to an improvised explosive device that severely injured another man in Harlan County, Kentucky. The injured man lost multiple fingers and suffered wounds to his chest after a booby trapped trail camera exploded in his hands. The device had been rigged to explode when new batteries were inserted.

Authorities initially discovered 2 more IEDs mounted inside trail cameras near a private trail at the end of Red Dog Road, but have since found another 10 hidden in wooded areas of Harlan County. A joint investigation between the ATF and Kentucky State Police tied Sawaf to the bombs after authorities searched his trash and discovered explosives, wire, and other materials matching the detonated device. A warranted search of his home uncovered pieces of trail cameras, explosive material, detonators, and fuses. Authorities also discovered a note reading “broken camera for a broken soul.” According to the Lexington Herald Leader, Sawaf told authorities that he had planned to leave the note with one of his trail cameras hoping someone would steal it.

Sawaf did not own the property where the explosives were recovered. He had been confronted by the property owners for trespassing some time before the first injury was reported. While in federal custody, Sawaf agreed to lead officials to the remaining devices hidden in the woods. While walking along the wooded trail, Sawaf attempted to escape and was shot dead by Lexington Fire Investigator Captain Brad Dobrzynki.

Authorities do not know if all of his booby traps have been accounted for. They have released a public safety warning advising anyone in the wooded areas of Harlan County to avoid and report any unusual trail cameras or devices attached to hunting stands. If any suspicious devices are discovered, the public should contact either Kentucky State Police Post 10 (606-573-3131) or the ATF (859-219-4500). Authorities encourage callers to include GPS coordinates of the item’s location whenever possible.

Really like to sink a size 12 up the rear of that woman.

Saying everything she can to minimize the terrorists actions. For crying out loud they've found like 12 cameras and there's more still. Never does she show any concern for the guy who had his fingers blown off, no it's they took Mark out in the woods so he could so graciously show where the other cameras were like the angel he was.....and then our precious Mark isn't coming back.

If my math is correct the guy lost his fingers in May.
Sawaf was taken into custody like 3rd week of June.
He didn't go out to point out locations until August 11th.

So for like 6 weeks there were exploding cameras out there that could have hurt people. What a wonderful guy! Now if he waited like 8 weeks then I might have to start thinking less of this wonderful young man.... <cough BS alert...cough...cough>

Here's an article with more insight.

BY MORGAN EADS
A licensed counselor with offices in Harlan and Lexington was taken into custody by federal authorities this week in connection with an investigation into the explosion of a trail camera that injured a man in May.

Mark Sawaf, 39, is in the Laurel County jail after ATF investigators connected him to the explosion, which caused a man to lose multiple fingers, according to an affidavit filed Wednesday. He has been charged in a complaint with possession of an unregistered firearm and making an illegal firearm.

Two trail cameras were found on a private mountain trail at the end of Red Dog Road in Harlan County sometime between late March and early April, according to court documents. The ATF was able to tie the cameras to Sawaf, but documents don’t explain what the cameras were being used for.

Trail cameras are usually affixed to trees and motion-activated to take photos of animals, such as deer. However the two cameras did not have batteries or memory cards necessary to function, records say.

The U.S. attorney’s office could not comment further on the case because the investigation is ongoing. The attorney listed for Sawaf in court files could not be reached.

However, court records reveal other details about the case: When a man tried to put batteries in one of the cameras, it detonated, causing injuries to his chest and hand. On June 6, ATF investigators were given information about the explosion, and when they inspected the second trail camera, they found another explosive device.

The device was made using a Winchester 9mm shell casing, an unknown explosive material and a detonator, according to court documents. The device was designed to explode when batteries were inserted into the camera.

The ATF had previously been told that Sawaf was involved in the use of “exploding targets,” or targets that blow up when shot with a firearm, according to court records. An investigator previously determined that since Sawaf was not prohibited from using firearms, there was no criminal violation if he was shooting exploding targets.

Sawaf didn’t own the land the cameras were found on, but he had previously been confronted for being on the property, according to court documents.

On June 16, investigators did a “trash pull” from a can that was put on the curb outside Sawaf’s Harlan house. They found copper wires like the ones used in the trail camera explosive, cut shotgun shells with thermal damage and a handwritten note that read “broken camera for a broken soul,” according to the court file.

When interviewed, Sawaf said he wrote the note after having trail cameras stolen in the past, records say. He said he was going to put the note in a broken camera and leave it out for someone to steal, according to court documents.

Investigators executed a search warrant on Sawaf’s house on June 21, according to records. They found materials consistent with what was used in the trail camera explosive; a flashlight with blast damage; and a section of PVC pipe filled with unidentified black powder, hot glue and coins, according to court documents.

Investigators also found a work bench in the home with a plastic jug containing black powder; a rock tumbler containing a suspected explosive powder; copper wires; and a handwritten note with explosive mixtures, according to court records.

Sawaf told investigators he did not make any or set off any improvised explosive devices in or around his home, records say. He said his involvement with explosives was limited to making and using exploding targets, burning gunpowder and making black powder, according to court documents.

Sawaf is scheduled to be in court on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing and a detention hearing.

I bet the property owners that he had the previous contact with probably told him to get off the land and stay off. He had probably been using trail cameras there and the property owners were probably finding them and confiscating them which set off this psychopath.

And to think this guy was counseling people?????????????

Crazy...and in what many would consider such a remote, down-to-earth part of the country where nothing even tangentially related to terrorism is supposed to go down. You have to admit, it's not a strategy that aims for body counts, but scaring ("terrorizing") ordinary people from enjoying the woods, a place where we feel we can get away from all the insanity reported on television.
In many ways, doing something like this denies people the ability to feel a sense of relief that "it's over." With shootings, people can mourn calmly---but with this, they don't know if they'll hear about something happening 5 years from now.
