just wondering if anyone else as stupid as me. here it is 8:30 p.m. local time. am leaving at 4:00.a.m. have been hunting 30 years, but oyher interests have kept me very busy(not work related). trying to get things ready. havent even cleaned muzzleloader. anyone else as slow as me. thanks

Well if it makes you feel any better, twice in the last 3 years, I' ve had prior engagements until about 10 pm. Left then and drove the 5 hours it takes me to get to where I hunt, just in time to grab some breakfast and off to the stand I go. By 10:00 AM I was outta there & off to lala land though...

It does' nt matter how ready you think you are, half way there you always remember something you forgot or didn' t do. If you' re worried about falling asleep, try stringing coke cans with rocks in them across the deer trail,that should wake you up

I think I may be at the other extreme..... My wife swears I have OCD.
If I' m not ready at least 3 days before a hunt I get all shook up> LOL
I think you way is a lot less stressful...... just enjoy and good luck!

i have the exact oposite problem, i am kept up at night thinking of things i need to get ready weeks prior to the opener. I think you may have lost sight of the main goal. Life is all about hunting! just keep that in mind
