Default e lives another day

My younger nephew was out yesterday on "the wood stand". His older brother had been on that stand 2 days prior and had a small buck come by. They had been hunting "the pine stand" as of late that is only maybe 300 feet away but hasn't given any shot opportunities. There are a lot of fresh scrapes poppoing up right in the area so the older mixed things up moving to the wooden stand and news that he passed on a buck gave his younger brother the idea to get up there too.

Yesterday was pretty darn windy and a few bits of light rain blew thru in the late afternoon also.

Windy or not, look who showed up to the party. (He missed)

This vid was shot as he worked a new scape right by a real small food plot we call the candy store.

I think most of us would be sick to their stomach after missing that opportunity !

I hope one of you get another chance.......................

Let's see a picture of him on the ground soon !!!

This is one of those "urban deer".

I am wondering if this is the same deer 2 years ago? IDK bc this video is not the greatest and he was moving thru quickly. This video was about an hour after my oldest nephew had shot the deer in my next reply.

I feel ya. This past weekend nice 8 was 30 yards but in the thick. No clear shot whatsoever. He was chasing a doe all over. I keep thinking should i have just tried shooting through the thick brush? But my father taught me when i was young not to shoot unless u have a good shot. Maybe next time I'll get him. 😱

Great deer, the two may be the same deer but if not they have the same genetics. Hope you take one down which would clear the confusion on any future sightings!
