So after my morning of hunting i got down from my stand to head off to work. But i had a few mintues to kill so decided that i would go the long way and see if I could find some more sign. Well i happened apon this scrape. As i took a picture to show a guy i have been getting advice from, i heard two quick grunts. Thinking that it was another hunter and i was impeeding on his hunt, i stopped and looked around. After not hearing anything i continued on my way out of the woods. When i got to the road there were no other cars parked in the only spot you could possibly access this area from. So i concluded that the buck could not see me, but could hear me shuffling through the leaves. Is this a good spot to go back to and potentially hunt? it was dead of the day. It was around noon time. Any advice on this?

I have a really active scrape line that I am hunting. I have seen my buck come through and I have tons of pictures of other bucks moving through the area. Im talkin bout 2 scrapes 5 ft apart on to close small trees and these things r soo pawed out in a huge area with fresh urine in them. Im headin out friday for first day of muzzle loader hoping to see some buck checkin this scrape line. Good luck on your next outing. try and put a camera on it. You get some really good footage of deer

I too would hunt downwind of the scrape with the knowledge the buck will be checking it and other scrapes and will be delayed by any doe near to being in heat. Good luck and don't get discouraged if the buck doesn't show on the first set...

I just have no clue where these deer are bedding. There are a ton of places where they could be bedding. Where is the most common place/places to find scrapes? on ridge tops? in gullies or valleys? in open areas?
