Digital Deer Cam
My Buckshot 35 has finally bit the dust. I am looking into purchasing one of the new Digital Deer Cams. They claim they get get good battery mileage, which has to be better than what I has. My old Cam went through 2 D cell and 6 2-A' s every 30 days. The best part of these Digital Cams is you can view and download the pics on your Palm pilot in the field. NO more Film. Instant Pics with our film processing fees and Longer Battery life. Has anyone used one of these digital cams to give me some feedback. I dont like the digital camera that requires the little eye viewer and is black and white. I want one with a flash card.

RE: Digital Deer Cam
I use a digital trailmac that uses smartmedia cards (new ones have Xd cards, I think). I think the newwest versions use olympus d-390 2.1 megapixel cameras. They have color lcd screens and if you get an extra memory card you can just swap cards and brig the card bak home and download them on the ' puter. It uses 10 AA batteries total and in warmer weather they last three months or so depending on how many pics are taken. There are several other digitals out there. Camtrakker and deer cam make one, I think. If you want to print pics out, then make sure you get one with a good resolution, some of the cheaper ones have low res and grainy pics.
