I prefer a hang on with climbing sticks. Oh, and a very good safety harness. I used to use climbers but I always found I ended up hunting for the right tree rather than where I thought the deer would move through. Also had one slip on me coming down the tree one time. Had to change my pants after that one. I have shot a few deer off the ground with my bow but as i mentioned I prefer a tree stand. I feel like they're not as likely to see you and it keeps your scent from getting down to the deer as easily. Plus you can see farther and with a gun, you're almost always going to be shooting down towards the ground.

Climber or Lock-On I suspect 90% of the time. Ground blind for the rest. I like being up. I hunt wooded areas almost exclusively where visibility is very much improvedd by being up 15-25 feet. When I am on a food plot or watching a road crossing, I am usually on the ground.

Heres my spot. I sit under the cedar. Right in front of it is a good 700-800 yard shooting lane. To the right is a little 20 X 100 yard patch of timber, that borders a nice open field and a creek. To the left is the thick woods, a huge hill that stretches as far as I can see. And behind me is more thick woods. I shot 3 deer there last fall. And seen a Mountain Lion there while Turkey huntin this spring.

Ground. First 2 days from the same ground blind I've been rebuilding yearly with the kids for the last 18 yrs. Good success from it! After day 2 it's a game of walk and stand all day using a tree as an aid to break up my outline.

I use climbers, loc-on,ladders and ground blinds..
Ground blinds were the hardest to get used to..My first few shots out of a ground blind were horrible as I clipped the the edge of the blind with my arrows.. The site picture looked great but the arrow was slightly lower the edge of the blind...
