Acorns
The Acorns from the Red Oak are starting to fall now. Seems a bit early this year to me.
If any one want some let me know. All I charge is the shipping in a USPS flat rate box.
Shipped 22 pounds to North Dakota last year for about $15.00. Fellow said just a few weeks back most have sprouted and the little trees are close to 8 inches tall.

That's wild. Way down here on the land I hunt in SE Alabama, Red Oaks are the last to drop. White Oaks and Chestnut Oaks go first followed closely by the Post Oaks. .... then the Water Oaks and Willow Oaks start dropping late October. Usually the Red Oaks, along with the few Over Cup and Scarlet Oaks whwere I hunt don't even start dropping until mid November.

Been a strange year for growing perhaps due to the winter we had? I know in evergreens, cone production is highest in drought times. The tree senses that it might die so it produces the cones. Perhaps the winter we had affected the oaks in a similar way.
