G3s are G3s. They don't become the main beams. A scorer would measure the main beams as main beams and measure the G3s as G3s.

I don't understand why you can't see the main beam as a separate point. G3s do not grow out of a deer's skull. They grow off of the top of the main beam. You can't have G3s without a main beam.

Here are your 8 points. You don't have to have an inch to count the main beam as a point. Main beams are mearured from the burr to the tip.

If you want to believe that go ahead, be my guest. Had I shot that buck, which I would have, I'd have told everyone about the awesome 6 point I killed In order to score it as a 6-pointer, it would not get any credit for the G3s. That's not going to happen. |
I would say a 7pt.....and a very nice deer with plenty of character!!
