Planning a trip to Illinois for archery in November. I was born after 1980 and no longer have my hunter Ed card. I do however have previous years and a current VT license.
Anyone know how much of a hassle it will be to call the number on the IDNR website to use a previous license instead of hunter Ed card to purchase my non res license?
What are the chances of licenses/archery permits still being available if I try to buy over the counter in early November?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Don't want to miss out on what sounds like a great trip!

As for availability, I don't think non-resident licenses have been selling out the last few years. No idea on the hunter safety stuff. Have you contacted Vermont to see if you could get a duplicate? I got a duplicate from Wisconsin a two years ago, and I took the Wisconsin course in 1977.

For tags, there should be plenty available, just make sure to get your buck tag the same time as your doe tag. If you purchase a doe tag after the season starts you can no longer purchase a buck tag.
Does Vermont have a replacement website for Hunter Safety Course? They should have some way to track down your number. I was born before 1980 and lost my card but still decided to have it updated on the Illinois website for hunter safety cards. I've never been checked for a hunter safety card in the field before but then again, I was born before the 1980 mark.
