is this a semi meanistic whitetail? done a lot of internet searching and cannot find anything with black legs and chest

I think it is shadows on the deer from the buck on the left.

It's definitely a shadow from the other buck. You can see the shadow of the ears and rack on the bucks neck. The top of the back of the first buck, is casting a shadow across the back bucks legs.

thank you both...i see it now..........i was so excited over the possibility that a friend of mine had a melanic whitetail on their property i couldnt see it until it was pointed out.

Definetely the shadow. Start at the buck on the left and follow his shadow. It leads straight to the other one.
