How much native blood do you need to have to be called a native American? I have A Great, Great, Great Grandmother who was a full blooded Cherokee Indian and she was in the "Trail of Tears", lost her whole family ( a horible event in American History) and met My Gr., Gr., Great Grandfather who was a American Officer. He married her and she became An "AMERICAN".
Yes she was rescued so to say but she became an American. Why can't we all live as Americans, One Nation and live under the same laws. We cannot fix the past! |
