doe using a scrape
Was out this weekend. Hunting a cut Milo field first time sit of the year for the site. I had a group of 3 does and a spike messing with them I also had a doe and fawn off to themselves.
I noticed this doe with the fawn mess around and pee in 2 scrapes along the field edge. I have never seen this happen in my. 18 years in the hunt.
Does this mean she is coming into estrouse ?

Unfortunately I won't be back till this Saturday. I have off all week after that. Hope fully a few more in that field start going in heat. This field is known for some nice bucks.
The way she kept starring in the woods I thought for sure big guy was gonna step out.

So I am back on the farm. I am on vacation so I have 10 days here.
I go back to that stand. I have abou t 8 does in and out all afternoon as well as every age group.
Then ole freak nasty steps out. Never a clear shot had brush in my way. Saw him for about 39 seconds.
Hope he sticks around. I would give him 150" quit counting points at 9 and there were more. when I went for my gun. Last thing I remember the base of his horns were as big as his ears.
By far the biggest buck I have seen while hunting.
The fever has set in.
Hopefully to be continued
