You have prayers and thoughts from me and my wife. Between the two of us we have lost 3 Grandparents in the last 2 years.
Faith is a strong thing that can get you through. Don't let yourself lose it.
Keep 'em all in the Bull.

Buck,
It does sound serious and you and your grandfather have my prayers. But he aint gone yet my friend, keep your head up, trust in the Lord. Who knows what may happen?
If you can get him home and feeling good enough this spring, load him up and take him to the woods one afternoon for a look around, build a small fire and enjoy it for a couple of hours. My grandfather and I was close also, he died August a year ago. I'm sitting here now with a big 'ol smile on my face just thinking about that man. I sure do miss him.

I know exactly what you are going through but the good news is that you still have him. My father, brother, and myself were always together come deer season. My brother died at the age of 33 in April of 98 and my father died at the age of 74 in April of 99. My brother died of a massive heart attack and dad lay in bed for 15 months after having a stroke. Hunting season is not the same any more without them. I look at our deer hunting pictures often just to refreash my memory. There is not a day goes by without thinking about them both. I often wonder how many deer they have killed since they left me because there must be a deer season in Heaven. Take your grandfather back hunting no matter what it takes if at all possible or do like I did and sit beside his bed with the old photo album. Prayers extended to you both.

Buck Magnut,I truly understand how you feel.
My father who is 75 now got alzheimer when he was 60.He started me hunting when I was 12 yrs old. There is not a time when I get a deer that I don't think of him and all that he taught me.I feel like you that maybe I am being cheated out of something because I know he would of had more years to hunt with me.But I also know he gave me some of the best years of his life so I could enjoy hunting and you will never forget the memories you have with your grandfather.I wish you both well.

THANK YOU guys. I visited my pap earlier today. He seems to be doing a lot better than yesterday. His friend, who my grandfather and I always go fishing with on the Allegheny River for BIG catfish were up there. My pap was talking about how he doesn't care what he doctors say, he has atleast a good 10-15 years of hunting left in him. He started eating jello today. He kept that down, which is a good thing. I have been praying my little butt off for him. He has beat skin cancer, he has gone through a LOT of stuff in his life and I am sure he can make it through this. He was talking about how he has to get back out hunting because his brand new Rocky boots aren't going to wear themselves in. He was also talking about going fly fishing which another thing my grandfather and I love to do. Thank you guys again. It means alot to me. This past spring, I called a gobbler into my pap and he got it, hopefully he will be able to get a repeat this year. Thanks again everyone.
Good Luck This Season: Buck Magnet
P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^)

Buck Magnet sounds to me like your grandfather has the right attitiude and that makes a huge difference in recovery. Your all still have my prayers and do not be surprised if you two are not back out in the woods this coming season.
