Sure I have missed a shot, made a mistake judging distances or didn' t see that little branch hanging down in the way. BUT, never have I ever taken a shot at a doe before making darn sure it wasnt a buck that shed or was a knot headed button buck, this was my point. I can' t believe how many folks are guilty of taking shots so they can " fill" their tags and brag to their buddies of getting the most and largest deer, bragging about taking the longest shots etc. I see no excuse for it, take shots at a closer range, less chance of stray bullets flying around, less wounding, and less chance of mistakenly shooting a future buck.
