Nice buck in anyones book.
Right place, right time ! Now you know you set the bar pretty high for next year......................... |
Another view of the buck on the ground. I say he had to weight close to 180.....

180 gross weight is possible. We weigh our bigger deer field dressed back at camp. We have a pulley setup with a scale that we tie onto the buck pole.
My camp tags, guts, and then drags the deer out. We let the predators and scavengers have the guts. That, and we have less weight to drag them out with that way. It's better to work smarter, not harder, after all. |
Congrats on a really nice deer. I wish I got the same feeling today I got when I shot my first buck . I'm happy but its just not the same. Good luck hope there is alot more to come for you.
