Deer After Dark
I have a very frustrating recurrance that I run into every season. I hunt public land and most of the deer bed up on ridges that are private property. I set up my stands as close to these as possible for evening hunts. All too often about 5-10 minutes after visible light I can hear the deer coming. 10-15 or more at a time. All within 30 yards of my stand. How do you combat this or adjust to it. I am in the right spot just can't seem to get anything within shooting light. I do get lucky and catch a couple that come down early but thats it.
