Default Picked up off road

I had the police scanner going and got a report of a deer vehicle 10-50 car undrivable so I went and picked up the deer was a 200 pound buck someone had cut the antlers off and left all that meat to go to waste i am happy he did tho cause I will stack all the deer i can into my freezer.;'////

I think hacking the antlers off and leaving the rest is illegal.

As the vehicle was undrivable, was someone there with the vehicle when u got there? They would know who the sawmaster was.

I think it depends where you are. I don't see why it would be illegal though, especially if the person who hit it sawed them off. In WI if you hit the deer you get first dibs and then after that it's whoever drives by it next, you just have to have law enforcement or dnr tag it for you.

Im sure it is illegal in Illinois you have to report any roadkill deer now,the driver that hit it was getting towed I don't care either way I am enjoy the meat.

deer was hit by car no poaching i was saying someone took the antlers and left all the meat .

I wish we had a law in VA where you had to report roadkill deer. I see dead deer on the side of the road all the time and it's really a shame to see all that meat go to waste.

I seen a guy doing that on eastern Long Island. At the side of the road with a hack saw. No car. no cops.

I often wonder how much meat is lost from the impact, that is if the deer is salvagable at all.

In texas ya just keep on keepin on, cause you can get charges...althoough i heard an urban legaend of game warden writing a tag for a big ass wt got hit by a car.
