Default Starting your hunt after sunrise

Got a friend that can't take any vacation time off during deer season and he must take his child to school. He can't drop his kids off until 8 am and he is thinking about not hunting. IMO he should try hunting the middle of the day. What do you all think?

Can't get them if not out there. Lot of deer are taken during the middle of the day.

I very seldom start at the crack of dawn anymore myself. I enjoy the experience, and have taken several deer.
Never have I taken one very early in the morning. They have all been after 10am.

Default Reminds me of a hunter

,,,,who had to wait for the wife to get home from the nightshift. It was a short three day hunt, and he was missing the opening.
It took an hour drive. He walked into a scouted area saw a deer, shot it, gutted and dragged out the deer. He was soon back home, not long after 12 noon.

After that the problem was always telling the wife why he was up at 4 or 5 A.M. to go hunting.

He's not much of a hunter....

Plenty of great bucks are killed between 10 and 2, especially during the
rut and the week after a full moon...

I'd much rather be in the woods than at work, given the opportunity...

My wife is a RN for the local school system, I own my own business...
Some days, I go in, work an hour or 2, hunt during the middle of the
day and she is none the wiser...When I do kill a deer, I call her from
the woods and tell her I decided to go hunting...
