I have outgrown my bow. My primary rife is a Marlin 30-30 with 150 gr. I have a Savage 11 in 308, but the lever action was my first deer rifle and has been a faithful partner.
Hopefull I will be able to take my traditions in-line during muzzleloading season.

mathews switchback xt left hand with 3-blade muzzy, and since i made a pact with myself that i would not shoot center fires this year, all my rifle hunting will be done with my new lyman great plains black powder rifle shooting patched round balls and goex black powder.

Using a Jennings Rackmaster Compound Bow with carbon arrows and HellRazor 100 grain broadheads.

Rifle.....not sure but will use either the Savage Model 11 GCNS Hunter bolt-action in a 7mm-08 with 140 grain Hornady shells or the Browning Medallion .270 WSM bolt-action with 150 grain Winchester shells...or drop down the old reliable Browning A-bolt Hunter bolt-action in a .243 with 100 grain Hornady Custom shells.

First year crossbows are legal in NC. I bought a Parket Tornado and will be shooting 100 gr 3 blade Muzzys.

I'll spend a week in the woods during the rut and will be shooting my Rem 700 Stainless .300 WSM topped with a Zeiss 4.5-14 - 44mm shooting 180 gr Nosler Accubonds (Federal Premium)

Bow... Red Head Kronik, bought last yr to get back into bow hunting. Grim Reapers out front.

Gun... Hawkens .50cal side lock I built several yrs ago. (over 40 hours of love to make her perfect) my other BP rifles don't see much hunting since I built this.

Can't use modern rifles in my county, so I use these two the entire season. Oct, till first weekend in Jan.

Old recurve crossbow. .270, 12 guage, and old Knight muzzle loader. No point with brand names 'cause my main requirement when I buy a weapon is that it's cheap and functional. Second Hand is always preferred to new.
