First shotgun buck

This was my first year year hunting deer with a gun. When i started hunting 5 years ago i told myself i would hunt bow only till i took some nice deer then i would hunt with a gun. I took my best buck to date last saturday with my bow and shot this buck this saturday. I hunted all day friday with not much luck and changed it up saturday morning moving to a stand i hadnt hunted much in the last 2 years. It was very foggy so i was worried about how much of the winter wheat field would be visible. I had just got sat down after hanging my gear up and getting my face mask on when he walked through the fencerow to my left at 12 yards and started feeding. I seen all his junk on his right side and decided he would do for my first gun buck. My slug gun was sighted in dead on at 100 yards with a bushnell trophy red dot, but he was so close that the dot took up his while vital area. I was a little nervous about that but it worked out as he only went 40 yards in the field and expired. I decided to just do a skull mount as he is a gun kill and i dont want a thousand dollar taxidermist bill lol.The pictures in the red truck are my bow kill sorry i used the same album
