Daughter Got Her First Buck
My daughter (age 15) went deer hunting for the first time last year and got a doe. This past Saturday was the first day of the youth hunt in Ohio and she shot this 8 point at 100 yards using a 50 cal ML. The day was very foggy and we had 15 deer within 35 yards before legal shooting time and then around 8:30 we had a nice buck "materialize" out of the fog right in front of us but he got to within 10 yards before she could get the gun on him and when she moved he saw her and ran. 
Then at 9:00 we had this 8 point come in and she dropped him with one shot at 100 yards. Needless to say, she was one happy girl. We were sitting on the edge of the woods that you can see in the background and if you look over her head you can actually see the trail the deer made as he tried to run/stumble down the hill.
