Was sittin in one of my shacks two weekends ago on a small foodplot on the edge of a thicket. Had a few does feed in the food plot and then walk into the thicket. Then after about 30 minutes i peaked over to the thicket to check if any deer were in my shooting lane. Turns out i looked at the right time. This bruiser was standin there like a gift from god. Dropped him at 80 yards with my Marlin 30-30. 9 point, nearly 18 inch spread. Definately not the biggest buck but it is definately a wallhanger for a michigan buck and is my first big buck.

You'll have to go back to the paperclip and actually attach the image to your post.

well, since September fifteenth i have been bow hunting this super great eight (thirteen inch spread, which for western maryland is kind of rare) but after a couple of encounters with him in bow season without any shot openings, rifle season comes in and one of the fellow lessees gunned him down he was the only nice buck i had observed on the property, so i decided on gunning this little guy down. another week and all the rambos are out of the woods and i have the land to myself again for a month.

Default Two in a week

Hunted real hard this year and was rewarded with these two mature bucks. The smaller one, which was around 3 1/2 im guessing, was the hoss weighing more then 200 pounds. When I shot the smaller buck a week later the bigger buck I found just 500 yards away in a thicket with a doe. Being mobile instead of sitting got me both of these bucks.
