I'm wondering does finding out where manufacturers like Tick's, Buck Bomb, Code Blue, etc. get their deer urine from matter? I'm in NC and I didn't know if I needed to find a company near me. Are whitetail deer all the same throughout the US regions that have whitetails? I didn't know if what they ate had anything to do with it. I emailed Buck Bomb and they get their urine from PA. Anybody know anything about this. I hope I explained it ok.

Hmm. Definetly a good question....

From personal experience, it does matter to an extent from the time of year the urine is taken and the diet of the deer (the deer were less likely to pay attention if the feed that the penned deer ate were the same available in the area, but were a little more alert if not). As for the location, I'm just as curious as everyone else, I've had great luck with all the different brands, including Buck Bomb here in Iowa.

Curious as to others opinions on this too. I know I use Pete Rickards indian buck lure from NY alot down here in NC and have good results.
Especially when I used it in the past in Oregon alond the coast. The Blacktail deer there are real territorial, so when I'd put a Whitetail deer scent trail down of the indian buck lure they'd follow it like I was reeling them in like a bass. Never had as excellent results with a scent like that.
If anybody is hunting blacktail deer try the Pete Rickards indian buck lure. You have my word that if it don't work on them blacktails I'll buy back any ya have left.
On whitetail it works alright but not like out there. Not sure if this is really relevant to the orginal post, nut my .02 cents.
