hi, we have a bout a 2 acre food plot that is parallel to a paved road. there is a small patch of pine trees imbetween the road and plot but the trees are getting bigger and the cover is now showing our stand and in the next short few years i fear you will be able to see it from the road. the whole food plot isnt showing just the first little bit but there is a gasline a bit up where you can see the plot but there is a creek seperating it. i fear that poachers will shine it and kill our big bucks...this is our best stand and we see one 99% of the time. we have all the tools avalible like a dozer tractors and exct and could borrow whatever we need frfom friends......my question to you is what should we do to put more cover between the road and patch. like a thick tree that is kinda tall but provides excellent cover...it needs to be realitvely cheep not gonna spend a fortune on it

I would plant a couple of rows of red cedar, spaced close. They will grow relatively quick and will maintain the lower limbs to block the view. Something like Virginia Pine will work also. A row of switch grass in the meantime will grow quick. Your county forester should be able to line you up with some seedlings.
