Everyone remember
Many of y'alls seasons are started or getting ready to start so y'all remember to take your safety restraints with you if your hunting from an elevated stand. Don't want to be reading later down the road where some one from this forum fell out of their stand and are seriously injured or worse. Be safe, you owe it to your families.

10-4 on that. my season been in for a while now, there was a couple weeks I wouldn't hunt cause I didn't want to wear all that crap, so I tried from the ground and had a close encounter with a Copperhead. which woulda been worse?

My No.1 pet peeve. My brother fell about 12' off a ladder stand (fell asleep). Doc told us that he came within millimeters of being paralyzed from the neck down. As a result, he was left forever more weaker. He was a bull of a man before and can not now dead lift more than about 35#. Irony of this accident, I had given him a safety harness that very Christmas before. It was still in the package.
Personally, I will not hunt of the ground (except in an elevated shooting house) without using a high quality safety harness.
