When it buy something - I am not driven by price, I look for a place that does returns and exchanges if it is the wrong item, defective or just not wanted.
I do not buy anything sight unseen or on someone elses word.
Keeping that in mind I refuse to shop online for hunting supplies.
It is best to deal with gun shops and stores directly - that way you can look through the scope, try the clothes and boots on and wear the coats and pants before you plunk down your hard earned money on something that might not be right for your situation.

I don't know what kind of hunting you do, but a 3x9 will cover the hunting you can do with a 30/30. A buddy had an old 30/30 Savage bolt gun that killed quite a few deer. I see no reason not to go with that scope. I'm interested in a new Redfield Revolution 2X7. They are made at a Leupold facility and are going for about $130.
