Default Decoys

I am taking my son out for youth day on 9/25 and was thinking abut trying a doe decoy. we have stands set up but I wanted to film this hunt for him so we are going to use a blind. we thought of this kind of late. we plan on putting out the blind out this saturday that gives the deer a week to adjusted to it. Not sure if thats enough time. so I thought setting a decoy up that morning might help take their mind off the blind. what do you all think?

Never used a decoy strictly as a confidence decoy, but I guess it could work. Just make sure you take care of the decoy the way you would if you were using it later in the year (ie. scent control).

I don't think I would use a decoy this early. My guess is it will do more damage than good by drawing attention to your set-up. I think I would opt for no decoy and just a good blind location and natural movement.
